Regulator because it can maintain internal conditions through homeostasis.
Migration because Nyalas migrate on certain cues, such as those that signify seasonal changes when predators begin to appear more commonly. This generally increases individual survival rates and reproduction.
Generalist because they are very flexible feeders and can support themselves in many different areas, even in those with low-productivity grazing areas.
Consumer because Nyalas are unable to make their own food and must consume other organisms for their energy.
Herbivore because the diet of nyalas is mostly plant-based with minimal or no meats for food.
Niche: Nyalas are part of the bovid family, which consists of mainly antelope-like animals. They live in grassland areas in Africa. Nyalas are herbivores and are therefore primary consumers in their food chain. Their predators include lions, leopards, and African wild dogs.
