2014
Linnaean Classification: Eukarya, Animalia, Chordata, Mammalia, Carnivora, Felidae, Panthera leo
Regulator because they are warm-blooded organisms and can maintain a constant body temperature with homeostasis.
Dormant because Lions do not have the need to migrate; the climates in savannas are warm year round.
Specialists because they only live in regions where the animals they consume live.
Consumer because Lions are unable to make their own food and nave to feed off consuming other animals.
Carnivore because their diet is carnivorous, consisting of many large animals.
Niche: These animals are surprisingly very lazy and sleep 16-20 hours per day. They usually live in warm Savanna regions, consuming many large animals for food, such as warthogs, impalas, wildebeests, buffalo, and zebras. They are at the top of their food chain, so they have no predator.
