Niche: The Bali Mynah, locally known as Jalak Bali, is a bird native to the island of Bali in Indonesia. These birds can live in various climates on the island, including tropical forests, savannas, and drier forests. They consume smaller plants and animals and are preyed on by larger animals like lizards and snakes. Males have adapted larger bodies and more impressive crests than females in order to impress potential mates and prove their fitness.
